BaAM Takes Part in Worldwide Day of Play

This past September, BaAM traveled to Washington, D.C. for Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play – a full day dedicated to getting kids outside and active.  The September 24 event was the biggest Worldwide Day of Play celebration ever held to date.  The event was setup on the Ellipse in President’s Park with various games and activities happening throughout the site.  To help encourage families to get up and get active for Worldwide Day of Play, Nickelodeon went off-air and offline from 12pm – 3pm on Saturday, September 24.  Stars from some of Nickelodeon’s shows like iCarly, Victorious, Big Time Rush and Supah Ninjas were there to join in the fun, along with several organizations, including MLB, PGA, Special Olympics International and Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” Campaign.

BaAM managed all aspects of MLB’s “Wanna Play?” presence at the event including The Center Field baseball diamond, batting cages and quick ball attraction with clinic programming provided by the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation. Daniella Monet and Matt Bennett, stars of Nickeolodeon’s Victorious, shared their tips on staying healthy from the Center Field attraction.
