Crunching the Numbers - T-Mobile All-Star FanFest 2013

September 18, 2013

Attendance at T-Mobile All-Star FanFest in NYC hit its second highest mark in the event’s 23-year history.  A total of 129,849 fans showed their passion for the sport at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (that’s a +9% increase since last year for those keeping track at home).

From July 12 – 16, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City hosted the world’s largest interactive baseball theme park.  This year’s event spanned 450,000 sq. ft. and fans spent an average of 3 ½ hours touring through skill-based interactives, baseball clinics hosted on a baseball diamond built-to-scale, autograph signings, historical exhibits, trophy displays, and Q&A sessions with All-Star athletes, alumni, and coaches.

After traveling to MLB All-Star cities across North America for 23 years, FanFest boasts a cumulative attendance of more than 2,365,207 guests.  Baseball fans in Minneapolis are looking forward to this event which will make its next stop at the Minneapolis Convention Center in July 2014 – it will be the first MLB All-Star FanFest held in Minneapolis and the first MLB All-Star Game since 1985.
