Cupids Legacy Centre Officially Opens

August 16, 2010

This week the Cupids Legacy Centre will officially open in Cupids, Newfoundland as part of the Cupids Cove week-long soiree, August 17 – 22, 2010.  The Cupids Legacy Centre commemorates the site where the first English settlement in Canada was built 400 years ago.  The Legacy Centre is a new state-of-the-art facility incorporating exciting media and interactives to tell a very powerful story.  It aims to preserve the memory of the Cupids community and to generate visitors’ own knowledge of their ancestral history, their understanding of Canadian history, and their place in the world.

BaAM was honoured to take part in the project and to share in its contribution to preserving a Canadian legacy.  We collaborated with Marian Macaulay and the Cupids 400 project team as Lead Designer and Design Build Contractor for the Cupids Legacy Centre.   The BaAM team was responsible for a variety of aspects, including exhibit design, content and media development, graphic design, site supervision and installation.
