Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

Purposely located near the site of one of the first-ever recorded baseball games, the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is a curated space where fans young and old can learn more about Canadian connections to the sport.  BaAM worked closely with the Hall of Fame and Museum over a multi-year period to design and build a revitalized guest experience that would engage visitors and showcase artifacts from the facility’s extensive collection.

BaAM established the Interpretive Plan and worked closely with Museum staff to develop a guest experience and project style guide that would expand on historical and contemporary themes. The design approach was inspired by the ballpark environment – from a feature wall reminiscent of traditional wooden baseball bats, to exhibit displays with a metallic mesh trim commonly seen at modern baseball stadiums. Exhibits highlight a variety of artifacts, including equipment used by baseball greats, World Series rings, and tickets from famed games, while also honoring the important figures nominated into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. In addition to the exhibits, BaAM collaborated with the Museum to design and build new fixtures for its retail store.

At the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum grand re-opening, Director of Operations Scott Crawford commented, “We wanted to give the people walking in the door a great experience, and now they have one."
