FIFA Women's World Cup 2015

The FIFA Women’s World Cup expanded in 2015 to include 24 teams, playing in six cities across Canada – from Moncton, Montreal, and Ottawa to Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Vancouver. As Event Contractor and Project Consultant for FIFA Canada, BaAM was responsible for managing the conversion of existing venues into league-sanctioned FIFA Football pitches as well as back of house, press rooms, production offices, interpretation booths, and player holding areas.

FIFA Women’s World Cup venues varied from city to city, covering five time zones and presenting unique site conditions in each location. Venues included Montreal’s Olympic Stadium, Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium, and Vancouver’s BC Place.  BaAM worked with FIFA Canada to prepare each site for competition by managing all procurement and mobilizing supervisors to each location to oversee install and dismantle – ensuring venues were completely restored to their original conditions following competition.

BaAM's Role:

Venue Conversion, Project Management, Scheduling,
Installation and Dismantle, Procurement
