Hockey Heritage North

BaAM Productions worked with Bronskill & Co. and a committed local volunteer board to develop and produce all aspects of the experience within this purpose-built 18,000 sq. ft. facility in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. A unique Hall of Fame and Museum, Hockey Heritage North celebrates the history of hockey in Northeastern Ontario and its lasting impact on the lifestyle and culture in the region. The experience not only honours the more than 300 players, coaches and officials from the region, but also immerses visitors in the excitement of the game.

The facility features hands-on attractions, where visitors can test their hockey skills or interview a living legend; historical and contemporary exhibits that showcase the facility’s ever-growing archival and artifact collections; and a Gold Hall, where Northeastern Ontario hockey greats are honoured. An ongoing relationship with the Hockey Hall of Fame ensures that new content is available for special exhibits. Video footage, interactive kiosks, a custom film production, and a soundscape complement various aspects of the experience.

Continued support for the project comes from all fronts: Senator Frank Mahovlich is Honorary Chairman of the Friends of Hockey Heritage North, and Frank Gehry, Alex Trebek, Alan Thicke, Ken Danby and Roberta Bondar are members.
