BaAM to Design Museum Exhibits at McCrae House, Guelph, Ontario

2015 will mark the 100th anniversary of the writing of In Flanders Fields by Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae.  His WWI poem was considered one of the most popular poems of its era and continues to be a prominent and internationally renowned form of remembrance.  L.Col John McCrae was born in Guelph in 1872 and his birthplace – McCrae House - was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1966.  The limestone cottage currently operated as a museum by the City of Guelph, features gallery exhibitions, period rooms, and programming space.

BaAM has been selected by the City of Guelph to manage the Museum Planning, Design, Fabrication, and Installation Services for the refurbishment of McCrae House. Our work will focus on re-imagining the museum as a destination to learn about and honour L.Col John McCrae through engaging, accessible, and interactive visitor experiences. The new exhibits are planned to open Spring 2015.
