CivicFest

With almost 300,000 sq. ft. of exhibit, performance, and retail space – including an 8,500 sq. ft. stage for lectures and musical performances – CivicFest boasted the best of American political memorabilia as well as all things Minnesotan during the week prior to the Republican National Convention in 2008.

Working closely with the MSP Host Committee and Executive Producer Gerard McTernan, BaAM was responsible for developing the design and presentation of 35 museum-quality exhibits and coordinating the installation and dismantling of all event structures, media components, and back-of-house storage/meeting areas for the event. BaAM also teamed with content experts in Minnesota and nationwide to present historical and contemporary material in engaging ways. While exhibits such as “Innovation Minnesota” presented opportunities to learn about local legends and resources, other exhibits, such as John Zweifel’s Miniature White House, brought visitors closer to their national history.
